I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 9 plus years of experience in multiple community settings which have provided me with a broad background.   I’m the owner and sole therapist of Life Balance Counseling

I enjoy working with children ages 8 and up, Preteens, Teens, and adults of all ages.  I utilize a variety of therapy approaches, as I feel is appropriate for the client.

I was born and raised in Idaho.  After graduating from high school, I moved to Boise for approximately 6 years for school and work.  I attended Boise State University (BSU), earning my Bachelor’s degree.  Upon graduating from BSU, I moved to the Magic Valley area where I've since resided.  I later returned to school, earning my Master in Social Work Degree (MSW) from Northwest Nazarene University in 2007.

I enjoy using a variety of approaches which are tailored to the needs of the client.  I utilize Motivational Interviewing, Client Centered, Strength based, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution Focused,  Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), Action & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness,  and Directive Play Therapy approaches with my clients.

I have an easy going personality and able to connect with my clients while keeping them moving towards their therapeutic goals.   My variety of experience which includes experience in the school system, Child and Family (H&W) system, Juvenile Justice System, and Mental Health System has helped me gain supportive relationships with individuals and programs within the Magic Valley Community.

I’m here to assist my clients during their time of difficulty, guiding them  toward a healthier self, sense of peace and increased set of effective tools.

I’m bilingual and bi-cultural (English/Spanish) understanding the cultural needs of the Latino community of the area.
